Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is inviting community members to attend a public meeting to provide input on proposed landscaping plans associated with the Glenarm Power Plant Complex.
By News Desk
The meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 6:00 pm at the Allendale Branch Library, located at 1130 South Marengo Avenue. The landscaping plans are tied to the planned 25-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project and focus on areas along Glenarm Street and at the intersection of Raymond Avenue.
According to PWP, the purpose of the meeting is to gather community feedback specifically on landscaping and visual screening elements of the project. Topics will include plant selection, buffering, and aesthetic considerations along Glenarm Street. PWP staff and project representatives will present preliminary landscaping concepts and be available to answer questions.
City officials emphasized the importance of public participation, encouraging residents to share perspectives to help ensure the landscaping reflects community character, environmental considerations, and neighborhood compatibility. The meeting will focus solely on landscaping aspects of the project and is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to transparency and community engagement.
Residents needing accessibility information or accommodations may contact (626) 744-7311 or CSC@CityOfPasadena.net. Requests should be made at least 72 hours in advance to help ensure availability.
