As organizers across the country prepare for what is expected to be another massive day of nonviolent mobilization, the No Kings Coalition and 50501 have announced a coordinated livestream event aimed at energizing supporters ahead of nationwide protests scheduled for March 28.
By News Desk
The virtual event will take place Friday, March 20 at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT on Twitch, bringing together gaming creators, activists, and digital organizers in a multi-hour broadcast designed to reach younger audiences and online communities.
Organizers say millions are expected to take part in No Kings demonstrations across thousands of locations nationwide. An interactive map of events is available through the coalition’s website.
The livestream will blend gaming, culture, and political discussion, featuring coordinated gameplay of titles such as Overwatch alongside conversations about civic engagement, community protection, and participation in the March 28 actions. Viewers will also be able to register live for local events during the broadcast.
According to organizers, the initiative is intended to “cut through the political noise” and create a space for new audiences, particularly gamers and digital activists, to engage with the movement and connect with others in their communities.
The event will feature simultaneous broadcasts from a diverse coalition of streamers, content creators, and No Kings activists, all co-streaming across their personal platforms in addition to the main 50501 channel.
A wide range of organizations are involved in organizing the protests, including American Civil Liberties Union, American Federation of Teachers, Human Rights Campaign, MoveOn, National Education Association, Service Employees International Union, and United We Dream, among others.
Organizers say the combination of large-scale in-person demonstrations and digital outreach efforts like the Twitch event is intended to expand participation and drive thousands of new commitments to attend local protests.
More information, including a full list of partner organizations and participating cities, is available through the No Kings website.
