David M. Reyes, General Manager of Water & Power (PWP), reassured customers that the department remains committed to providing safe drinking water throughout its service area, including regions affected by the recent Eaton Fire.

In a statement, Reyes highlighted that water quality monitoring has been consistently conducted throughout 2025. Despite the challenges posed by the fire, recent water quality tests continue to confirm the safety of the water across the entire service region, including the fire-impacted areas.
As an additional precaution, PWP has been conducting extra water quality tests in the affected zones. The results of these tests are publicly available for review on the department’s website at PWPweb.com/WaterTesting2025.
PWP also publishes annual water quality data through its Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), which provides details on the water’s source, treatment process, and overall composition. The report, which covers the previous calendar year, is available for viewing and download at this link.
With these ongoing measures, PWP continues to prioritize public health and transparency, ensuring that residents have access to reliable information about the quality of their drinking water.
