Add a little greenery to your Lunar New Year. The Arboretum is inviting the community to ring in the Year of the Fire Horse with a touch of green at its 3rd Annual Lunar New Year celebration, set for Saturday, February 28, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Held in honor of the Year of the Horse, the festive daytime event blends cultural traditions with hands-on garden experiences for all ages. Guests can receive a Red Envelope Seed Giveaway, available while supplies last, and take part in a cabbage planting station designed to welcome prosperity in the year ahead.
Families can enjoy Year of the Horse-themed crafts, and visitors can capture the occasion at a complimentary photo booth offering free digital photos. A marketplace will also feature local artists and creators, including Cheery Human Studios, an AAPI woman-owned art, gift and stationery brand; illustrator and designer Jiayin Lu; and painter and illustrator Victoria Orolfo.
A diverse food truck lineup will offer global flavors throughout the celebration. Featured vendors include Rice Balls of Fire serving Korean fusion dishes, Man Eating Plant with vegan Chinese cuisine, StopBye Café offering Indonesian fusion fare, and Daddy’s Best Froyo with frozen sweet treats.
