      Friday, March 27, 2026

      10:00 am – 11:00 am: Sierra Madre Senior Hawaiian & Polynesian Dance Class. Join instructor Barbara Dempsey as she leads you in the art of Hula. Bring a lei, flower skirt, or just your desire to dance. (@Memorial Park, Sierra Madre)

      10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Rose Bowl Stadium Tour. Your tour guide will lead you through behind the scenes locations at the stadium, including the classic stadium seating, original 1922 locker room, the new Terry Donahue Pavilion, the Loge Lounge, the Working Press Box, and more. (@Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena)

      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Thrive Food Bank Free Farmer’s Market. Volunteer organization offers fresh locally sourced fruits and vegetables to food insecure populations. All welcome. (@Iglesia de Nazareth, Pasadena)

      5:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monrovia Street Fair and Market takes place every Friday evening in Old Town Monrovia! (@500 Block of Myrtle Ave. between Lemon Avenue and Colorado Boulevard)

      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm: “ICE Out of Alhambra” Event. A weekly event taking place every Friday at the corner of Main Street and Garfield Avenue. Organizers describe the gathering as a show of support for the community and a call to protect neighbors. (@corner of Main St. & Garfield Ave., Alhambra)

      6:30 pm: Eliot Arts: “Bring It On The Musical” is being hosted at guest location after Eliot Arts lost their space to fire. The production promises high energy, heartfelt performances, and a celebration of student artistry. (@Pasadena High School Auditorium)

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Caltech Tai Chi Club. Learn and practice Hao-style tai chi chuan. Additional practice includes Yang-style tai chi, kung fu, and other bare-hand and weapon forms. Free event. (@Hameetman Center, Caltech, Pasadena)

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: San Gabriel Valley Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance. Group support. (@600 S. Lake Ave., Suite 200, Pasadena)

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monthly Queer Social at SGVLGBTQ Center is an opportunity for folks across the San Gabriel Valley to gather and enjoy a night of music, community, and good vibes. Dress code: Fabulous! (@SGVLGBTQ Center, El Monte)

      8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Caltech Stargazing Lecture and Sky Viewing with Former JPL Director Charles Elachi. Drawing from firsthand experience, Elachi will discuss the excitement and scientific breakthroughs of major exploration missions led by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, followed by a Q&A panel and sky viewing hour. (@Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pasadena)

      8:00 am – 10:00 am: Altadena Cars and Coffee. Cruise into the parking lot of Gelato and enjoy a morning of community around classic autos. (@Bulgarini Gelato, 749 East Altadena Drive, Altadena)

      8:00 am – 2:00 pm: San Marino Compost Giveaway and Document Shredding. Up to five bags of compost, each weighing approximately 35 pounds, will be available per household while supplies last. Document shredding services will take place at the Stoneman Building.  (@Lacy Park, St. Albans Parking Lot, San Marino)

      8:30 am – 12:30 pm: A Regenerative Landscape Workshop Series for Fire-Impacted Homeowners. Four-part, in-person series designed for homeowners affected by recent wildfires. Third session topics: Water, Soil & Regeneration • Reading the Land • Walking Design Exercise. (Location given after application completed, link on event page)

      9:00 am – 12:30 pm: Peeps and Pedals 2026 Brings Spring Fun to Alhambra. Family, live entertainment, including a 9:00 am Kids Concert, 11:00 am character performances, plus a petting zoo & food trucks. You can also explore Alhambra Police & Fire Department vehicles and equipment up close.  (@Alhambra Park)

      9:00 am – 5:00 pm: Sierra Madre’s 13th Annual Wistaria Festival. A huge gathering of craft and food vendors, coupled with live music & family-friendly activities fill the free festival day. Access to the vine itself is managed via paid ticket shuttle access to protect it from damage. (@Downtown Sierra Madre)

      10:00 am – 12:00 pm: No Kings Rallies Monrovia and South Pasadena. National day of peaceful protest. (See event details for meetup locations.)

      11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Artist & Curator Cha-Rie Tang Hosts Pasadena Museum of History Exhibit Tour. Visitors can expect to see a diverse range of works, including vibrant fused glass creations, high-relief ceramic tiles, and framed sketches and designs. (@Pasadena Museum of History)

      2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: “Are You a Princess?” Book Author Talk with Heidi Zhang. Award-winning children’s book author Heidi Zhang presents a special story time (with small prizes!) featuring her book Are YOU a Princess? Heidi will share what inspired her, as a working mom in finance, to write a Children’s book centered on kindness and multiculturalism. (@Alhambra Public Library, Reese Hall)

      2:00 pm: Pasadena Humane Brings Adoptable Pets to Local Stores for National Adoption Week. Shelter animals (Cats) visit PetSmart locations, giving potential adopters the opportunity to meet and spend time with pets in a more accessible setting. (@PetSmart Tujunga)

Four original monologues are rooted in each writer’s personal, cultural, and L.A.-centric experiences. Directed by Marlene Beltran, the production explores dreaming as both a poetic and active practice—how individuals imagine identity, belonging, perseverance, and future possibility.
