“From Ashes to Renewal: Voices of Resilience in Altadena” is a gathering of poetry, reflection, and renewal one year since the Altadena fires on Saturday afternoon, January 24, 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the Main Library Community Room of Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., Altadena.

Presented by the Altadena Poets Laureate and hosted by writer, artist, and activist Sehba Sarwar alongside poet, editor, and investment banker Lester Graves Lennon, the event honors the land, the people, and the enduring spirit of rebuilding that continues to shape the community.
Featured poets include Sesshu Foster, Robin D. G. Kelley, Elline Lipkin, Roberta Martinez, Ruth Nolan, Andrew Wessels, Désirée Zamorano, emerging poets Emilia Cabrales and Keily Sahagun, and an open mic session. See the Altadena Library Event posting for full writer bios.
