      The Lego Movie movie reviewFriday, December 12, 2025

      • 10:00 – 11:00 am: Sierra Madre Senior Hawaiian & Polynesian Dance Class, Memorial Park. Join instructor Barbara Dempsey as she leads you in the art of Hula. Bring a lei, flower skirt, or just your desire to dance.
      •  3:00 – 5:00 pm: LEGO Free Play, South Pasadena Public Library, Community Room. Use your imagination to create! Duplo blocks available for toddlers. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
      • 5:00 – 9:00 pm: Monrovia Street Fair and Market takes place every Friday evening in Old Town Monrovia! 500 Block of Myrtle Ave. (between Lemon Avenue and Colorado Boulevard). Face coverings and practicing physical distancing will be required.
      • 7:00 pm: Pasadena Symphony and POPS Holiday Candlelight Concert. Tickets often sell out, start at $30, and are available at Pasadena Symphony’s website or by calling (626) 793-7172. Also: Sat Dec 13, 4 pm. & 7 p.m. (@All Saints Church, Pasadena).
      • 7:00 – 9:00 pm: San Gabriel Valley Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance, 600 S. Lake Ave., Suite 200 Pasadena CA 91106.
      • 7:00 – 9:00 pm: Caltech Tai Chi Club. Free Hao-style tai chi chuan instruction, beginners welcome. Street, lot and structure parking available & free on-campus after 5:00 pm. (@Hameetman Center).
      • 7:00 pm: Christmaspalooza! A New Christmas Musical Comedy Debuting at The Rialto Theatre. Two extra shows on Saturday at 3:00 and 7:00 pm.

      • 8:00 – 11:00 am: Monterey Park Free Compost Giveaway, Garvey Ranch Park. Drive-up free event for residents of Monterey Park, until supplies run out. Resident ID or bill required. Sponsored by Ware Disposal and Monterey Park Public Works.
      • 8:30 am – 12:30 pm: Sierra Madre Community Yard Sale, Sierra Vista Park, 611 E Sierra Madre Boulevard. Buyers and sellers welcome. In case of inclement weather, call Community Sales Dept to check event status: (626) 355-5278.
      •  9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Community Legal Clinic, Jackie Robinson Community Center. Public counsel, Pasadena Parks, Recreation & Community Services and All Saints Church co-sponsor free legal clinic for a variety of issues. Bring applicable documents.
      • 10:30 am, 1:30 pm., and 4:30 pm: Bob Baker’s Nutcracker, Sierra Madre Playhouse. Enjoy Bob Baker’s Marionette Theater’s 1969 adaptation of the classic ballet. Features over 100 puppets. Tickets $25. Sunday, Dec 14: same showtimes.
      • 1:00 – 5:00 pm: Snack Tasting Station, Loma Alta Park. Free event featuring holiday-inspired sweets and activities.
      • 5:00 – 11:00 pm: Christmas Tree Lane Model Railway Society Open House, 2085 Santa Rosa Ave, Altadena. Display includes models of Mars Rover, Mount Rushmore and Star Trek figures. Free each Saturday through Jan 3rd.
      • 5:00 – 10:00 pm: Enchant Christmas Holiday Experience, Santa Anita Park. Large-scale traveling experience includes world’s largest Christmas light maze, an ice skating trail, a ten-lane ice slide, Santa’s Landing with Mr & Mrs Claus, live entertainment and village shopping. Tickets $30-52. Evening showtimes daily through Dec 28th.
      • 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Guitar Concert to Benefit Children’s Hospital LA, Pedersen Headlines Guitar Concert to Benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles! (@ Pasadena Elk Lodge, Pasadena).
      • 6:15 pm: Santa Parade in Sierra Madre. Traditional holiday parade followed by pictures with Santa at Fire Department (6:30 p.m.). Toys for Tots drive also welcoming unwrapped presents. (@Sierra Vista Park).
      • 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Aloe Blacc Headlines Pacific Jazz Orchestra’s Holiday Spectacular. (@Alex Theatre, Glendale).

      • 8:30 am – 1 :00 pm: Alhambra Certified Farmers Market, 100 South Second St, Alhambra. (2nd St. between Main and Commonwealth). Find a wide assortment of affordably priced fruits, vegetables, honey, herbs, bread and more.
      • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm: Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market, Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena. $10 exact, cash only admission. VIP entrance 5:30-8:30 a.m. $20. Experience over 2,500 vendors for antiques, local art, vintage clothing and specialty products.
      • 11:00 am. – 5 :00 pm: USC Pacific Asia Museum Free Admission, 46 North Los Robles Ave., Pasadena. Free admission to the collection of more than 15,000 items spanning 5,000 years from across Asia and the Pacific Islands.
      • 6:00 – 10:00 pm: Upper Hastings Ranch Holiday Lights, throughout neighborhood. A local tradition since 1951. Lights on 6-10 p.m. nightly Dec 6 through Dec 31.
