At 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024, the Summer Concert Series will begin in the amphitheater at Farnsworth Park in Altadena!

      By Claire Ghantous

This event is sponsored by the Altadena Rotary, as well as the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department and the 5th District Supervisorial Office.

The summer concert series began in 1997, and has since been an annual event, with, of course, the exception of the summer of 2020 due to COVID-19.  The series will include a total of eight community concerts on Saturday evening in July or August. Additionally, the Sheriff Support Group of Altadena will host a ninth concert on the Saturday following Labor Day.

      Schedule

      • July 6 – Phat Cat Swinger
A blend of rock, swing, and jazz infused with a modern sensibility.
      • July 13 – Britain’s Finest
A Beatles tribute band with their re-creation of the songs everyone loves.
      • July 20 – Eagles Ronstadt Experience
Featuring the sounds of two loved iconic and popular artists.
      • July 27 – Sangre Nueva Band
Cuban music and other Latin styles.
      • August 3 – The Miskey Mountain Boys
        A Bluegrass show.
      • August 10 – Upstream
        Reggae, Calypso, Steel Drum.
      • August 17 – Past Action Heroes
Featuring rock anthems, pop classics, and funky R&B.
      • August 24 – Ghost in the Machine
Music of Sting and the Police.
      • September 7 – Culture Shock LA
Hip Hop Battle of the DJs.
