Youth Pentathlon Returns to the City of San Gabriel This March

Get ready to run, jump and throw!

The 2026 Youth Pentathlon returns on Saturday, March 14, at Jefferson Middle School, 1372 E. Las Tunas Dr., San Gabriel.

This free program is open to San Gabriel residents in grades 2–8. Registration is now open and closes February 28. Pre‑registration is required due to limited space. Register online at SanGabrielCity.com/register or in-person.

Optional Practices

February 3 – March 12

• Grades 2–5: Biweekly practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays

 March 3 – March 12

• Grades 6–8: Four training practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Event Lineup

All participants will compete in five events:

• 50-Meter Dash (Born 2016-2018)
• 100-Meter Dash (Born 2015-2011)
• 200-Meter Dash
• Softball Throw
• Running Long Jump
• Standing Long Jump

Qualifying participants will advance to the Southern Municipal Athletic Federation Track & Field Meet held on May 2, 2026.
