        Some of the key topics covered include naming your business, licenses and taxes, insurance, financing sources, elements of a business plan, and marketing considerations (@ Santa Catalina Branch Library, Pasadena).
      • 11:00 am – 2:00 pm: Our History, Our Places – Celebrating Pasadena’s Cultural Heritage
        Bring family and friends to learn about Pasadena’s rich multicultural history (@ Jackie Robinson Community Center, Pasadena).

        Set against the backdrop of the industrial revolution in New York City in the late 1800s, the story follows inventor Nikola Tesla, guided by Electra, who sends him visions of groundbreaking inventions during lightning storms (@ Sierra Madre Playhouse, Sierra Madre).

      • 9:00 am: South Pasadena Memorial Day Ceremony
        The ceremony will feature color guard by Boy Scout Troop 333, the national anthem by AwenRose Miller, virtual guest speaker Tonya Oxendine from the Wounded Warrior Project, a live outdoor bagpipe performance by Megan Kenney, and light refreshments & Legion Room viewing (@ War Memorial Building, South Pasadena).
      • 10:00 am: Alhambra Memorial Day Ceremony
        Enjoy live music and a continental breakfast starting at 10:00 am, followed by the Memorial Day ceremony at 11:00 am (@ Alhambra Park Bandshell, Alhambra).
      • 10:00 am – 10:30 am: Monterey Park Memorial Day Ceremony
        The American Legion Post 397 and the City of Monterey Park invite the community to a Memorial Day Ceremony honoring all fallen heroes (@ American Legion Monterey – Post 397, Monterey Park).
      • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Pasadena Memorial Day Commemoration
        The ceremony will include the reading of men and women who served and lost their lives during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and other conflict (@ Memorial Park, Pasadena).
      • 11:00 am: Forest Lawn Memorial Day Celebration
        The family-friendly, parkwide remembrance will bring generations together to commemorate the lives and valor of American veterans with patriotic music, wreath layings, presentations, and retirings of the flag, keynote addresses, presidential proclamations, invocations, giveaways, arts & crafts, coffee, sweet treats, and more (@ Forest Lawn, Glendale).
      • 2:00 pm: Pasadena Civil War Round Table Memorial Day Ceremony
        The Pasadena CWRT will commemorate the lives of the over 600 Civil War veterans, blue and gray, who are buried at Mountain View Cemetery with walking tours led by CWRT President Nick Smith (@ Mountain View Cemetery, Altadena).
      • 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Pasadena Senior Center Memorial Day Swing Band Concert and Dance
        The Great American Swing Band will be performing fan-favorite swing dance tunes, with a guest appearance by Pam Kay’s Tap Chicks (@ Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena).
      • 4:00 pm: Pasadena Finance Committee Meeting
        Meetings take place at Pasadena City Hall Council Chambers in Room S249 (@ Pasadena City Yards, Pasadena).
      • 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: DBSA San Gabriel Valley Support Alliance
