The upcoming Restoration Concert will feature a unique ensemble of flute, harp, and string trio, presenting an afternoon of chamber music in the Library Community Room in South Pasadena.

The program includes works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, Beethoven, Françaix, and Debussy, performed by Heather Clarke (flute), Marcia Dickstein (harp), Adam Barnett-Hart (violin), Connie Kupka-Speltz (viola), and David Speltz (cello).

Flutist Heather Clarke is one of Los Angeles’ most sought-after performers. Her impressive résumé includes principal positions with many of Southern California’s leading orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
Marcia Dickstein, a world-renowned harpist, has captivated audiences in both chamber and solo performances. As founder and artistic director of The Debussy Trio—now celebrating its 35th year—she has performed extensively around the globe.
American violinist Adam Barnett-Hart has earned international acclaim for his expressive playing and artistic insight. A founding member and first violinist of the Escher Quartet, he has appeared at major venues and festivals worldwide.
Connie Kupka-Speltz, violist and longtime champion of chamber music, co-founded the Arriaga Quartet with her husband, cellist David Speltz. The ensemble won the Grand Prize at the prestigious Coleman Chamber Music Competition. She was also a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra for 30 years.
David Speltz, cellist, has performed at the Library of Congress, Lincoln Center, and the Casals Festival in Puerto Rico. A former member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra under Sir Neville Marriner, he served as principal cellist of the California Chamber Orchestra and has recorded for the Nonesuch label. He is also a prolific studio musician, with credits on over 1,000 film scores.
The Restoration Concerts Committee, a program of the non-profit Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, is dedicated to presenting world-class music at an accessible price to the community. As the name suggests, proceeds from the concerts support restorations, enhancements, and other improvements to the South Pasadena Library and Community Room.
