      Friday:

      – 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Levitt national tour presents: playing for change

Drum circle at 7 pm and great world music at 8pm. Playing For Change began with a small film crew and a mobile recording studio. Its breakthrough moment came in 2009, when its video of musicians performing the song “Stand by Me” went viral. (@ Levitt Pavilion.)

      Saturday:

      – 9:00 am – 11:00 am: Family Nature Walk @ Eaton Canyon

Join a guided walk in Eaton Canyon Natural Area. This is geared toward the family, including small children, and everyone is welcome. (Walking shoes, sunscreen, water, and a hat are recommended.)

      – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Woodworking

This is Side Street Project regular woodworking class. (Remember to wear closed toe shoes.)

      – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm:  Live Music Saturdays

      – 8:00 pm: Pistolera Band: (Latin Alternative)

Their song Nueva York won the grand prize in the 2012 John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Latin Category. (@ Pasadena Levitt Pavilion.)

      Sunday:

      – 8:00 am – 10:30 am: Throop Learning Garden

If gardening is your thing, stroll to Throop garden, get some fresh air, check out the gardeners planting and tilling, and help a little or share some garden tips together. (@ Throop Church.)

      – 9:00 am – 2:00 pm: Old Pasadena Farmers Market

Then head to the local Farmers Market in Old Pasadena and buy Fresh and Local. (@ Holly Street at Fair Oaks Avenue.)

      – 11:00 am – 2:00 pm: Free Yogurt Ice Cream

      – 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm: Share Faire in the Park

Keeping with the theme, why not check this cool group that exchanges organic and homegrown veggies. (@ Farnsworth Park.)

      – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Jazz Vespers

Time for some Jazz with the quartet “Left Side Sax Alliance“. (@ All Saints Church.)

      – 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Kenny Burrell Big Band Jazz

Then head to Memorial Park for more cool Jazz to end the weekend on cool note. (@ Levitt Pavilion.)
