Sierra Madre’s annual Huck Finn Fishing Derby and Campout is almost here!

This annual event is an opportunity for families to fish and camp in a friendly environment close to home.

Camping registration begins at Sierra Madre City Hall on Monday, February 24, and continues through Monday, March 23 (or until spaces are filled).

The cost is $70 per campsite which includes the Derby Contest for four kids.

The event dates will be from Friday, March 27, to Saturday, March 28. The two-day event is held at the Sierra Madre Water Basins next to Dapper Field behind the Public Works Yard.

Schedule

• Friday, March 27: Family Campout.
• Saturday, March 22: Youth Fishing Contest and Family Fishing.

Entrance for all events is located at the gates on Grand View Ave., where Acacia St. and Grand View Ave. meet.
