Besides wonderful festivals and holidays, February and March also bring the anxiety-producing, annual tax season.

Thanks to free tax preparation help offered by the VITA (Volunteer Tax Assistance) Clinic in partnership with Chinatown Service Center, individuals and families with an annual income under $69,000 can find some relief during this time.
From Monday, February 2, 2026, through Thursday, April 9, appointments will be available at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library Computer Lab, located at 318 S. Ramona Ave., Monterey Park, CA 91754. Services will be offered on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12:30 pm to 7:00 pm., and on Thursdays from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm.
