Many of you have seen the new Sierra Vista Park’s playground and exercise pad being built.

The recreation project has taken a while to complete, and now the city is very pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the new Sierra Vista Park’s Playground and Exercise Pad at 611 E Sierra Madre Blvd!
Projects like this are never easy since there are so many moving parts and competing interests at work. Some say, “it takes a village”, however in this case it took the early leadership of the Community Services Commission to help with the design. The Public Works Department and Community Services Department worked together to bring this beautiful project into existence for the community.
Not all the cost was borne by the city, as some funding was used from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The city will also be adapting the tennis courts into pickleball courts later this year.
So, get out there with your kids and enjoy your tax dollars at play in your community!
