Sierra Madre Rally Part of National ‘ICE Out For Good’ Weekend of Action, Jan. 10

A coalition of community members and advocacy groups will gather in Sierra Madre on Saturday, January 10, from 10:00 am to noon for “ICE Out For Good,” part of a nationwide weekend of action. The demonstration will take place at 1 Kersting Ct in Sierra Madre.

The rally follows the killing of an American citizen by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday, January 7. Organizers describe the death as part of a broader pattern of violence, abuse, and impunity by federal immigration enforcement agencies.

This event is part of a coordinated national “ICE Out For Good Weekend of Action,” scheduled for Saturday, January 10, and Sunday, January 11, with actions planned across the country. According to organizers, the weekend aims to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and draw attention to what they describe as the human cost of ICE’s actions.
