Wistaria Festival
The annual Wistaria Festival will take place on Saturday, April 12, to celebrate the world’s largest Wistaria vine. The festival will feature a variety of activities, including live music, food vendors, kid-friendly play spaces, and an auto show with 100 different cars on display.
The festival will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the auto show ending at 3:00 pm. Residents also can visit the Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce website to purchase shuttle tickets to the Wistaria Vine.
Library Update
The library renovation project has made progress, with framing and foundation work recently completed. In the coming weeks, additional changes visible to passersby will be made.
The project is slightly behind schedule due to severe weather in January and February, including the Eaton Fire and heavy rainstorms. However, steps are being taken to catch up and meet the original completion date of January 31, 2026.
Sidewalk Repairs
Sidewalk repairs have been scheduled for Zones 1 and 3 during the 2024-2025 fiscal year. This will include repairs to sidewalks, curbs, and gutters in the affected areas.
The next Sierra Madre City Council meeting will take place on April 22.
