Shumei Arts Council in Pasadena presents “Journey to the Cosmos” by Keiko Yamasaki.

Keiko Yamasaki (山崎憲子) was born and raised in Japan, where her parents took her to the Japanese Alps every summer.
It was there that her love of nature began. After marrying, Yamasaki moved to the United States with her husband. Following a career as a software engineer, she retired in 2014 due to health reasons and decided to pursue photography. She was mentored by Donna Cosentino at Palomar College and was selected as a member of Cosentino’s The Photographer’s Eye Collective Gallery in Escondido. Yamasaki is also a member and photographer for the San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society, and her photographs have been featured in the society’s magazines.
The exhibition will be open from March 2 to April 30, Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be an exhibition opening lecture and reception on March 2 at 2:00 pm.
