Alison Jillian Chao (Photos – Monterey Prk PD)
On July 16, 2024, at approximately 9:36 pm, the Monterey Park Police Department (MPPD) began a Missing Person investigation into the whereabouts of 15-year-old Alison Jillian Chao, an Asian female, approximately 5’2”, weighing approximately 96 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Local detectives, county, state, and federal partner agencies, have joined hands in investigating the case since Alison was reported missing. MPPD detectives are working with the Chao family and are canvassing neighborhoods in the area, reviewing surveillance video footage, and interviewing possible witnesses.
Alison left her residence on July 16, 2024, at approximately 5:32 pm in the 200 block of North Ynez Avenue in the City of Monterey Park. Video footage shows Alison’s last known whereabouts on July 16 at 6:23 pm on the 4400 block of Collis Avenue, in the El Sereno area. Alison was last seen wearing a purple T- shirt, black shorts, and dark shoes. Surveillance footage show her riding a blue mountain bike and carrying a black backpack.
