U.S. Rep. Judy Chu (CA-28) hosted the Congressional Leadership of the Year Awards Ceremony to honor local leaders and groups in the San Gabriel Valley who have contributed to their communities through service and leadership.

The Congressional Leadership of the Year Award recognizes exceptional individuals and organizations in California’s 28th Congressional District.
Awardees were selected from nominations submitted by members of their community. They received this honor because of the commendable work they have accomplished in their field, as well as their dedication to communities in the San Gabriel Valley.
The honorees were:
- Bradon Tsay – Monterey Park – Courageous Service Award
- Cancer Support Community Greater San Gabriel Valley – Non-Profit of the Year
- Flintridge Center – Non-Profit of the Year
- Ed Donnelly – Highland Park – Volunteer of the Year
- Joey Galloway –– – Businessperson of the Year
- Lori Touloumian – Pasadena – Educator of the Year
- Randy Lopez – Claremont – Building Bridges
- SGV LGBTQ Center – Arcadia – Community Activists Award
- Sophia Lee – La Cañada – Youth of the Year
