It is time for the annual SantaCon, Los Angeles edition, the subculture Christmas event you did not know it existed.
By Vahe Simonyan
The first SantaCon took place in 1994 in San Francisco, and since then it has gone global with events coast to coast and in 44 countries.
The biggest event is in New York City with around 30,000 Santas participating, but Los Angeles is catching up with more than 500 participants in recent years according to organizers.
For the second year in a row, I had the chance to participate in the Los Angeles SantaCon. Individuals dressed up as Santa and Mrs. Clause, elf or reindeer, then went barhopping in the city.
This was a full day event, from morning to night (click on pictures to enlarge).
You can follow SantaCon on their Twitter feed.
