The US National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued an urgent alert warning of very hazardous weather conditions across Los Angeles County from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm today.
By News Desk
Forecasters say they are closely monitoring the potential for multiple weather threats during this three-hour window, including:
- Flash flooding over roads, which could create dangerous travel conditions and rapid water accumulation in low-lying areas.
- Debris flows in recent burn scar areas, particularly in the Palisades and Eaton burn zones, where rainfall can quickly mobilize mud, rocks, and vegetation.
- Damaging winds, with the possibility of a weak tornado developing.
Officials emphasize that conditions could change rapidly and urge residents to remain alert, especially those living near recent wildfire burn scars or in flood-prone locations.
The weather service continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as conditions evolve.
