It was time for the annual SantaCon, the subculture Christmas event you did not know it existed.
Individuals dressed up as Santa and Mrs. Clause, elf or reindeer, then went barhopping in cities around the world. Our own correspondent, Vahe, covered the event in Los Angeles and participated in it as well (responsibly of course).
This was a full day event, from morning to night (click on pictures to enlarge).
The first SantaCon took place in 1994 in San Francisco, and since then it has gone global with events coast to coast and in 44 countries.
The biggest event is in New York City with around 30,000 Santas participating, but Los Angeles is catching up with more than 500 participants in recent years according to organizers. You can follow them on their Twitter feed.
