Postponed from its original date, the free guided history tour along the Metro A Line (formerly the Gold Line) will take place on Saturday, July 19, offering Metro riders a fun and educational way to explore the city’s transit system, enjoy scenic views, and uncover fascinating local stories.
The tour kicks off at 10:00 am in the plaza next to the platform at Del Mar Station in Pasadena. From there, knowledgeable tour guides will lead participants southbound on the A Line, sharing historical insights about the railroad and the communities it connects.
The group will make several stops along the way, concluding the outbound trip at Little Tokyo Station in Downtown L.A. There, participants will have the chance to grab lunch, either by bringing their own or choosing from the many local dining options in the historic neighborhood. The tour is expected to wrap up back in Pasadena by 1:30 pm.
Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. A limited number of free TAP cards loaded with a day’s worth of transit fare will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for those without one.
Lunch is not included, so plan accordingly.
