Red Flag Day restrictions are imposed during times of high fire danger.
The restrictions are aimed at ensuring that emergency vehicles are able to navigate sometimes-narrow streets to respond to fires, and to ensure residents are able to safely evacuate neighborhoods.
During a Red Flag Day, any vehicle parked on any of the following streets, or portions thereof, is subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
The following streets are affected:
- Mount Wilson Trail Road Woodland Drive Old Ranch Road
- Churchill Road Brookside Lane Forest Lane
- Skyland Drive Sunnyside Lane Casey Street
- Fern Glen Yucca Trail Madre Lane
- Fern Drive Holly Trail Path Hermosa Ave, North of Carter Ave.
- Idle Hour Lane Sturtevant Drive Auburn, North of Grand View Ave.
- Canyon Crest Drive Elm Street Cañon Drive
- Orange Drive Pleasant Hill Lane Oakcrest Drive
- Carter Ave. Alta Vista Drive Vista Circle Drive

Residents with questions regarding the parking restrictions are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings:
- Monday September 16, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Nature Friends (568 Yucca Trail).
- Friday September 20, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Station (108 Grandview and Stonehouse).
> Red Flag weather events are issued by the National Weather Service and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
