Come by Throop Church to take in the antics of our resident young ravens. They recently took their first flight! Now the two fledglings explore the neighborhood on uncertain wings. Their doting parents are never too far behind, so be wary of getting too close to the birds.

Mealtime finds the family clustered in their crowded nest. The nest is perched high atop the church belfry above the Del Mar entrance. The family is busting out of their domicile as the teens cavort about, causing chunks of nest, food, and other debris to rain down onto the church steps.
You may also see the ravens feasting on sunflowers. The juveniles rip them apart, leaving an exploded flower head in their wake.

Take a moment to stop and observe these beautiful birds. They have fully adapted into our urban environment. Watch your step. The food fights get messy.
Throop Church is located at 300 S. Los Robles at Del Mar in downtown Pasadena.
