The Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF) has announced the distribution of $395,000 in Education Grants to 11 nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing student success across the Greater Pasadena area.

      By News Desk

This year’s grants come at a pivotal moment, as local organizations continue to recover from the lasting effects of the devastating Eaton Fire. “After six months of healing and rebuilding… these grants are a commitment to restoring strength, stability, and hope in our educational community,” said Jeannine Bogaard, PCF’s Vice President of Community Impact.

Since its founding in 1953, PCF has supported educational initiatives, with its formal Education Grant Program launching in 2013 to benefit students in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD). In 2022, the program expanded its focus to prioritize educational equity, encompassing early childhood learning, youth development, academic intervention, and college access.

The 2025 Education Grants will fund a range of innovative initiatives, including:

      • Girls’ Empowerment Program at YWCA Glendale & Pasadena
Leadership and STEAM education for girls in grades 6–9 through coding, robotics, and mentorship.
      • Reggio Emilia Atelier at Families Forward Learning Center
Hands-on art and exploration activities that nurture curiosity and emotional growth in young children.
      • Summer Experience at Partnership for Success!
A rigorous academic summer program serving over 400 students, with a 100% college matriculation rate.
      • Pathways to STEAM Success at STEAM:CODERS
Instruction in coding, cybersecurity, and design thinking for K–12 students, led by alumni mentors.

The full list of 2025 grant recipients includes:

      • African American Parent Council – Math Power Hour
      • Boys & Girls Club Pasadena – Project Learn
      • College Access Plan – CAP Programs
      • Families Forward Learning Center – Reggio Emilia Atelier Expansion
      • Partnership for Success! – Summer Program
      • Pasadena Education Network – School Readiness
      • Pasadena Educational Foundation – Summer Enrichment, TK & Kindergarten
      • Reading Partners – PUSD Literacy Support
      • Stars – Afterschool Tutoring Programs
      • STEAM:CODERS – Pathways to STEAM Success
      • YWCA Glendale and Pasadena – Girls’ Empowerment Program

PCF’s continued investment reflects its mission to create lasting educational opportunities and promote equity for Pasadena’s youth.
