Enjoy a free Clazzical Notes concert in the park. These engaging and interactive live performances are designed to help you learn to harness the therapeutic benefits of music. The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department and Pasadena Village are collaborating with Clazzical Notes to bring music to the shady lawn at Washington Park.
“In a Wonderland with Miss MA” is a soulful journey through music, memory, and imagination. This unique performance creates a magical space that transcends time, age, culture, and boundaries—a gentle passage connecting us to nature, inner peace, and joy.
Presented by Jie Ma, an artist recognized for her deep mastery of traditional Chinese instruments and her thoughtful blending of East and West, ancient and modern, the program offers more than beautiful music—it invites reflection, calm, and healing. Through the evocative sounds of the pipa, handpan, crystal bowls, and other meditative instruments, the experience becomes both soothing and inspiring.
Rooted in decades of artistic exploration and cultural fusion, “In a Wonderland with Miss MA” reflects a heartfelt belief in the power of music and art to uplift the spirit and guide us back to our most authentic selves.
