On November 6, 2024, at 12:33 am, officers from the Pasadena Police Department responded to a multi-unit residential building located in the 200 block of East Orange Grove Blvd. regarding a “Trouble Unknown” call.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male down inside a residential unit. The male had sustained multiple stab wounds and was unresponsive. Police officers, and paramedics from the Pasadena Fire Department, attempted life-saving measures. The male did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Patrol officers detained two adult females at the location. One of the females, identified as 41-year-old Shante Ferguson, was arrested. She was transported to the Pasadena Police Department’s Jail and booked for “Felony Resisting Arrest” and two misdemeanor charges.
The homicide victim was identified as 38-year-old Cory Davis, a Pasadena resident. Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery / Homicide Unit (RHU) commenced immediate follow-up investigation.
Booking charges against Ms. Ferguson, a resident of Upland, were amended to include Homicide. RHU is actively conducting a follow-up investigation on the homicide. The motive is unknown.
