Pasadena residents went to the polls on November 5, 2024, to vote on the future of Pasadena Central Library.

Numbers as of November 11th are showing Pasadena voters supporting Measure PL by 72.23% (43,168 YES, 16,593 NO).
Measure PL will provide funding to make the necessary earthquake retrofit and repairs to reopen the historic Central Library. The planned improvements will both preserve the historic elements and modernize the building to serve the community for the next century.

We are committed to reopening this vital institution and protecting it for the next 100 years and beyond.”
Ballot counting
144,182 ballots have been processed in Los Angeles County since Election Night. The total election results count is now 3,622,821, which is 63.15% of registered voters.
The estimate of outstanding ballots to be processed is 187,300:
- Vote by Mail ballots: 89,000
- Conditional Voter Registration ballots: 87,000
- Provisional ballots: 11,300
The next ballot count update will be on Tuesday, November 12.
