The Pasadena Homeless Count, a crucial community-driven initiative, will take place on the evening of January 21 and the morning of January 22, 2026. This annual event is a key part of the city’s efforts to understand and address homelessness, providing vital data to guide policy and funding decisions.

Each year, the Pasadena Partnership and the City of Pasadena rely on volunteers to help conduct the count of individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers will work in teams to count and survey participants during two time slots: 8:00 – 10:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21 and 6:00 – 8:00 am on Thursday, January 22. Volunteers are required to commit to both shifts.
In addition to collecting critical data, the event provides a chance for volunteers to distribute cold weather kits to those in need. These kits contain essential items to help individuals cope with winter conditions, offering direct support during the count.
Volunteer Registration Now Open
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and attend an online orientation on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, to prepare for the count. Registration is now open and will remain available until Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Those interested in volunteering can sign up online at PasadenaPartnership.org.
Volunteers are the backbone of the Homeless Count effort, and organizers encourage individuals, friends, and neighbors to come together for this important community initiative.
