No matter where residents and visitors live in Southern California, they are only a short drive from wildland recreation experiences in the Angeles, Cleveland, Los Padres, and San Bernardino National Forests. These forest lands feature mountains rising to more than 11,500 feet, as well as canyons, expansive forests, lakes, waterfalls, rivers, and streams.
Recreation opportunities across the Southern California National Forests include hiking, camping, mountain biking, off-highway vehicle travel, picnicking, winter snow play, cross-country skiing, and many other activities.
National forest lands are a unique and precious resource, meant to be enjoyed and cared for so they remain available for present and future generations. Recreation passes help fund Standard Amenity Fees, which support day-use areas across the Angeles, Cleveland, Los Padres, and San Bernardino National Forests.
