Does harmonization seem like magic to you? Soul Force Project, Altadena’s artistic collaborative, starts a course Thursday, January 22, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, that aims to help both the amateur and non-music reading professional musician understand the mechanics behind those beautiful sounds.

“Music Theory Demystified” offers the following: Learn foundations of tonal harmony. Develop your harmonic palette and communicate ideas with bandmates and collaborators. Covers intervals, triads, inversions, progressions, chord charts, and transposing. No music reading required—basic guitar or piano knowledge needed. Daily practice (25 min.) required.
Course convenes every Thursday, January 22nd through March 5, 2026, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Classes take place at Stone House Studio at Zorthian Ranch, 3990 North Fair Oaks Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001.
