After an extensive recruitment process, the City of Sierra Madre has made an offer to Mr. Anthony Rainey to serve as the next Director of Finance.

Anthony Rainey brings over 17 years of distinguished experience in public sector financial management. Rainey’s work has earned him recognition for aligning strategic financial objectives with operational needs, while fostering public trust through clear communication and stakeholder engagement.
Mayor Kelly Kriebs stated, “We are fortunate to add to our team such a skilled and experienced Finance Director at this crucial time. I look forward to working with Director Rainey to put the City on a path to fiscal sustainability. I also want to thank the City’s Budget Manager Satnam Rait for filling the role of Acting Finance Director during the recruitment.”
Anthony Rainey
Anthony Rainey has held leadership roles in Santa Paula, Maywood, Bell Gardens, and Rialto.
Rainey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the UC Berkeley, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington, and a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from Seattle Pacific University.
Rainey describes himself as a lifelong learner. He is dedicated to advancing the city’s financial stability, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring a resilient and vibrant future for Sierra Madre’s residents and businesses.
