The Marshall Fundamental Eagles matched up against the Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Tologs for the CIF-SS Division 5 Championship. This is the first Girls Tennis CIF Championship in school history!

The Championship match was originally scheduled for Friday, November 15th at the Claremont Tennis Club. Due to rain the match was rescheduled to Saturday and hosted at the Marshall Fundamental Tennis Courts. The final score for the match was 9 to 9 which led to the tiebreaker for the winner and the Marshall Fundamental Lady Eagles earned the win 65 to 63.

The Marshall Eagle singles players were led by Hannah Hagiwara sweeping all her opponents 6-1, 6-0, 6-0; Diana Kasabian won her sets 6-0, 6-0, 6-1; and Elena Edmonds scored a strong 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.

The Doubles team Sierra Bethelmy and Keri Santiago added a crucial set to the team total. While Lexie Palacios and Sophia Alpuche also made significant contributions. The Freshman Doubles Team of Madison Castro and Claire Thomas made additional contributions.

Rounding out the team roster, on deck, and ready to go were Parisa Vazira, Arianna Solis, Maura Mhagama, Alessandra Santiago, Lilian Sorto-Lopez, Tehilah Ofumbi, and Fatima Vasquez. Every player made a valuable contribution to the team effort and the CIF-SS Division 5 Championship is a culmination of talent, hard work, and dedication of the players, the coach, and team managers throughout the season.

The Lady Eagles end this bid with a 16 – 2 overall record, the undefeated 10-0 Mission Valley League Championship.
