These grants are designed to assist businesses in reopening, restoring jobs, and recovering from challenges such as wildfire damage and economic downturns.
This funding round brings the total amount awarded to $525,000, following an initial round of grants distributed in September. The grants are part of the Steadfast LA Small Business Initiative, launched in August 2025 to support businesses affected by wildfires and their resulting economic impacts.
Among the recipients of this latest round are Altadena Beverage and Market in Pasadena, and Bulgarini Gelato Artigianale in Altadena. Both businesses, along with others in the region, have faced significant setbacks, including declines in foot traffic as residents temporarily relocated. These grants will help these businesses recover and continue serving their communities.
Other grant recipients include businesses from a variety of sectors, such as restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, and veterinary centers, all of which have faced challenges due to the wildfires and associated economic disruptions.
The Steadfast LA Small Business Initiative offers grants of up to $50,000 to small businesses in wildfire-affected areas. Banc of California has contributed $1 million to the program through its Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund, with Steadfast LA providing additional financial and operational support.
