A record-breaking amount of rain will hit the Greater Pasadena area in 24 hours, according to the National Oceanic and atmospheric administration.
The foothills and mountains are expected to get as much as 6 inches of rain before the rain moves away midday Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday forecast is supposed to be slightly warmer than Saturday, with temperatures hovering around mid to low 60’s.
Let it Rain!
We leave you with our own unofficial Pasadena Poet Laureate, Kathabela Wilson, with an inspiring poem appropriately titled “let it rain.”
let the rain
reign
fall steadily
into itself
like dynastiesa benevolent dictator
everything bows
in service
a begging bowl
fills with skytomorrow
the moon will be
a cup
a flower will float across
her smiling face
