United Nations Association-Pasadena (UNA-Pasadena) will host an evening with Roberta Martinez, author of “Latinos in Pasadena.”
Roberta Martinez will discuss migration waves that have been a part of the Mexicano experience in Southern California and the United States, Mexicano/Mexican American communities, and complexities in the current political climate.
Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided.
Donations are accepted. Suggested donation: $5.
The United Nations Association of the USA serves to be local embodiment of the United Nations. In 1947, the Pasadena Chapter was formed and became one of the first UNA-USA chapters to be incorporated in 1972. In 2006 the Pasadena Chapter began working with Model United Nations (MUN) at Pasadena City College and has since transitioned to offering MUN to high school students.
