The County’s Department of Regional Planning has announced that residents can now apply for a waiver of rebuilding permit fees, or request a refund if those fees have already been paid.
This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on homeowners and businesses working to restore properties damaged or destroyed by the blaze. Eligible residents can access the official fee waiver request form through the L.A. County Planning website.
“By removing these fees, we’re giving wildfire survivors a better chance to stay in their communities, rebuild their homes, and hold on to hope for the future,” said Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
