      Alhambra will host its 12th Annual Alhambra Pumpkin Run and Hallowscream Festival in Downtown Alhambra on October 26. The day will kick off with a 10K, 5K, 1K, and Kiddie Run. After the run, stick around for a free outdoor festival for the entire family. Enjoy trick-or-treating at local Downtown Alhambra businesses on Main Street; live entertainment featuring a band, dance performances, and a DJ; the certified Alhambra Farmers Market; the Annual Downtown Alhambra Hallowscream Costume Contest at 11:00 am; a Kids Zone including carnival games; and more. There will also be a beer garden and bar hosted by Alhambra Education Foundation and sponsored by Ohana Brewery.

      Get ready for a frightfully fun time at Pasadena’s Halloween celebration, where guests can roam a haunted house, ride the trackless “train of fright,” and enjoy a festive trunk-or-treat zone. The “Giggles” hours, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, are perfect for young trick-or-treaters, featuring a costume contest, goodies, a “little goblins” play zone, and lights-on haunted house tours from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. As the sun sets, the “Screams” hours from 5:00 – 8:00 pm invite brave souls ages 12 and up to test their nerves in the haunted house and creepy clown train ride. Families can also enjoy carnival games, dancing to DJ hits, face painting, photo ops, and tasty food for purchase.       Although this neighborhood trick-or-treating is not a City sponsored event, it’s considered to be one of the biggest events of the year in Sierra Madre.

      Residents new to the East Alegria community, especially those living near Mountain Trail, Baldwin, and Grandview, are being reminded to prepare for a busy Halloween night. With festivities set for Friday, October 31, the neighborhood expects more than 5,000 trick-or-treaters throughout the evening. Last year, one resident on Victoria Lane reported handing out over 700 pieces of candy. The downtown celebration will kick off earlier in the day, with trick-or-treating from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by the annual Halloween parade. Locals are encouraged to stock up on treats, decorate, and join in the festive spirit as East Alegria gears up for one of its biggest community nights of the year.
