Pasadena Playhouse recently received the 2023 Regional Tony Award, and is continuing that standard of excellence with its next mainstage production, “Stew” (July 12 – August 6), which is brimming with award winners. Playwright Zora Howard was a 2021 Pulitzer Prize finalist, Director Tyler Thomas is a New York based award winner, and the actors who play Mama and her three daughters have appeared in numerous series and productions. As the stew keeps cooking, the story keeps adding ingredients – history, joy, heartbreak, determination, choices, and above all, family.
