The 82,500 square foot Pasadena Star-News building located at 524 E. Colorado Boulevard was designed by Joseph Blick and completed in 1925.
Greenbridge Investment Partners now owns the building located near the Pasadena Playhouse, Pasadena Civic Center and The Paseo. The space to be occupied by Last Crumb was recently vacated by Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts. In addition to the infrastructure and utility updates required by Le Cordon Blue, the building retains much of its original architectural detail, including ceilings and stonework.
Founded in L.A. in 2020, Last Crumb ships celebrity culture-inspired premium cookies direct to consumers for $140 a box/$12 a cookie under the tagline: “cookies so good that your grandmother will disown you.” The company uses premium ingredients and exclusive recipes; it relies on social media posts by its customers to promote its premium experience. The strategy has resulted in a customer waitlist and investors. Last Crumb’s success has necessitated expansion of its production and fulfillment facilities.
