As of July 19, 2023, The Sheraton Pasadena has rebranded itself as Hotel Dena, part of the family of Tribute Portfolio Hotels by Marriot.

      By Kate Bartlett

Hotel Dena describes itself as Pasadena’s newest vibrant hub for creative people, highlighting Pasadena’s Hollywood history.

Located at 303 Cordova Street, Hotel Dena markets to younger professional, creatives, artists and “set-jetters” who travel to film sets and locations.

General Manager Marlon Gonzalez reported that the hotel never closed during the renovation process that included adding Instagram-able features and installations for photo opportunities, such as the 1949 Rolls Royce in front of the hotel and a sound wave installation of a Van Halen guitar riff by artist Ian Schuler. Guests can participate in film history lessons, rent a ring light at the front desk to ensure a perfect photo, enjoy classic black and white films in a retro film screen room (which is also a bookable event space), or drink and eat in Agents Only, an updated restaurant that uses old records as plates.

Some renovations are in the process of completion; room art will be finished in August. Hotel Dena will host meetings and conventions, and Agents Only is already open to the public.
