THEATRE REVIEW
Since I am not a fan of musicals in general, I was aware only that Avenue Q had been quite popular on Broadway and also at the Pantages, I believe, and had some puppets in it.

I was impressed by how many times it got extended at this tiny theater and how glowing the reviews were, especially given the miniscule stage they had to work with. Wow, what a wonderful, entertaining surprise! It’s all about the singing, dancing, and switching from puppet to person to puppet, no other props needed.
All the actors were very talented and had great singing voices and comedic timing. I hope no uninformed person like me brought a child, thinking “well if there are puppets it must be for kids” – because it certainly wasn’t – a bit of suggestive dialogue and puppets simulating sex – quite hilarious for adults but iffy for kids.
Very fun, go!
