In an ongoing effort to support small businesses impacted by the January 2025 Eaton Fire, Los Angeles County officials announced that the application deadline for the Altadena Disaster Relief Small Business Loan Program has been extended to June 30, 2025.
By News Desk
The program, led by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger in partnership with the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA), provides loans of up to $75,000 to help eligible Altadena businesses recover, rebuild, and preserve local jobs.
“Small businesses are essential to Altadena’s identity and economic vitality, so I want to ensure they have every opportunity to bounce back,” said Supervisor Barger. “Extending the application deadline and expanding support tools will give more business owners the time and guidance they need to access this vital relief. I encourage every eligible business to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.”
In addition to the extended deadline, enhanced technical assistance resources will now be available through the program’s official website at altadenabizrelief.lacda.org, aimed at helping applicants navigate the process and improve their submissions.
To qualify, businesses must have a public-facing storefront located in unincorporated Altadena ZIP codes 91001 or 91104, and must have been in operation for at least six months prior to applying. Businesses that have received FEMA assistance are also eligible.
The loan program is part of a broader strategy to stimulate recovery and long-term resilience in communities hardest hit by the wildfire, which disrupted operations for many local merchants.
