Old Pasadena will come alive with flavor, music, and community spirit on Sunday, June 22, 2025, as the Dine Out Pasadena Streetfest transforms Union Street into a bustling, open-air celebration of the city’s culinary scene.

Running from 1:00 p.m to 7:00 pm, the event will take place along Union Street between Raymond Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue (61 N. Raymond Ave.), converting this historic corridor into a pedestrian-friendly festival zone.
Hosted by the City of Pasadena Economic Development Division and supported by Dine Brands Global, Visit Pasadena, the Old Pasadena Management District, and Sunstone Investment Group, the Streetfest marks the official launch of Pasadena’s new on-street dining platforms. This initiative, funded in part by Congressmember Judy Chu through the Dine Out Pasadena grant program, aims to support local restaurants and reimagine public space as a shared, vibrant dining destination.
“This Streetfest will bring diners to the heart of the city to support restaurants that make Pasadena unique,” said David Klug, Economic Development Director for the City of Pasadena. “Pasadena’s restaurants are essential contributors to the local economy.”
The event will feature ribbon-cutting ceremonies at eight restaurants debuting new dining platforms—custom-built extensions of the sidewalk designed for individual restaurants—and three more showcasing recent refurbishments. These unveilings highlight the ongoing recovery and resilience of Pasadena’s hospitality sector following the Eaton Fire.
“Pasadena is more than just the home of our Applebee’s, IHOP, and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop headquarters, it’s a community that’s part of our story,” said John Peyton, CEO of Dine Brands Global. “This event is all about coming together with our neighbors, supporting fellow restaurateurs, and celebrating the spirit of dining out.”

Festivalgoers can look forward to one-day-only dishes and drink specials from beloved local spots, including:

- Cafe Santorini
- Chado Tea Room
- Osawa Sushi
- Perle
- Pez Coastal Kitchen
- Soh Grill House
- The Blind Donkey
- The Kitchen
- Union
Also featured: popular food trucks Pie ‘N Burger and La Michoacana, a lively beer garden hosted by Cerveceria del Pueblo and Wild Parrot Brewing Company (with a special appearance by Elroy the Parrot), and live performances by Makoto Taiko, Combo Macho, The Far West, and De Lux.
Community at the Core
The Streetfest will also feature booths from local organizations including the Armory Center for the Arts, One Arroyo Foundation, Pasadena Conservatory of Music, and Pasadena Playhouse. Guests can enjoy games, giveaways, street activities, and interactive photo ops throughout the day.
