Some attendees driving from over 50 miles away, the amphitheater was full of folks in their best summer dress on Saturday, July 6.
The Rotary Club thanked many of its donors and participants such as the Sheriff Reserve Group, Altadena public libraries, and the Parks and Recreation Department. Police captain Jabari Williams introduced performers, The Phat Cat Swingers, expressing that “this is one of [his] favorite events in Altadena.”
As the swingers played, a crowd of dancers rushed to the front of the theater. Playing songs like “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “Let the Good Times Roll” the musicians had audience members singing and dancing across the park. They also performed many songs that they wrote and produced themselves.
The next group performing on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 7:00 pm is Britain’s Finest, a Beatles Tribute Band with a recreation of familiar songs the world has come to love.
