The makeup of Alhambra City Council did not change after the last election.
By Melissa Michelson
Since 1984, the City of Alhambra has utilized a system in which City Council members are elected from five districts, each for a four-year term. Each member takes a turn at the job of being Mayor for a 9-month term. Similar systems are in place in San Gabriel, South Pasadena and Sierra Madre.
The current makeup of the Council is as follows:
- Mayor Adele Andrade-Stadler, District 5
- Vice Mayor Ross Maza, District 2
- Katherine Lee, District 1
- Jeffrey Maloney, District 3
- Sasha Renee Perez, District 4
What district do you live in?
Roughly, District 1 borders San Marino and San Gabriel to the northeast, including Lindraaxa Park, East Main Street, and downtown Alhambra; south of that is District 2 over to Atlantic and down to Valley, including the city golf course, and partially over to Hellman. District 4 is west of District 2 and south of Valley, including the Midwick Tract. District 5 is the western-most District, that includes Fremont, the 710, and Emery Park neighborhoods; and just to the east of District 5 is District 3 that shares the industrial zone and covers west of Atlantic and north up to Huntington.
