The Crescenta Valley Fireworks Association will host their annual fireworks show on Thursday, July 4th, 2024. This year’s event will be held at La Crescenta Elementary field because of the stadium build at CV. The in-person show will have choreographed music and will be best seen from the field, but the higher fireworks will be visible to residents across the Crescenta Valley.
The field will open at 4:00 pm. Attendees are welcome to set up blankets and chairs, but nothing may be staked into the field. Water is the only thing allowed on the field, but there will be a large seating area to enjoy the food from the food trucks that will be in attendance. Live music will be performed by the Mary Dyer band until the show begins around 9:10 pm.

The City of Monrovia’s renowned 4th of July Concert and Fireworks Show is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in Library Park. Live entertainment will begin at 7:00 pm. Following the concert, a free 20 minute fireworks show will begin at 9:00 pm. Spectators may reserve space in the park beginning at 6:00 am. The space reserved can be a maximum of 10 x 10 feet, which must be supervised at all times.

LA Galaxy vs. LAFC Soccer Match (and Fireworks)

Cross-town rivals, the LA Galaxy and LAFC, will return with a world class soccer match on July 4, 2024. The Rose Bowl Stadium served as the home venue for the LA Galaxy from 1996-2002 and will once again provide the biggest stage for Los Angeles’ marquee soccer rivalry. The Fourth of July match will mark the 28th MLS regular-season match held on July 4th for the LA Galaxy.
Before and during the match there will be activations honoring local Veterans, and following the conclusion of the match at 9:45 pm, the club and the Rose Bowl Stadium will continue its 98-year tradition of providing the largest and longest-running fireworks display on the West Coast for fans in attendance and the local community alike.
The Rialto-California based company, Pyro Spectaculars by Souza has been providing firework entertainment at the Rose Bowl Stadium for more than 35 years and is known worldwide for extraordinary firework displays, producing shows for the NFL Super Bowls, the Olympic Games, and other major events throughout the world.

Happy birthday, America! Amber waves of grain and purple mountain majesties will be on everyone’s minds when the Pasadena Senior Center presents the annual Fourth of July luncheon and dance. The Scott Pavilion will be adorned with red, white, and blue décor as everyone celebrates America’s independence with a sumptuous lunch prepared by Neighborhood Survants, a local nonprofit organization that offers youths and community leaders empowerment workshops and other services.
The Great American Swing Band will provide music for listening, dancing, and toe-tapping to complement this celebration of our nation’s independence, including patriotic tunes, the Big Band era, R&B, swing, jazz, and more.

Independence Day Parade Palooza

The City has assumed management of the 4th of July parade, which is held in the late afternoon (4:45 pm) before the fireworks at 9:00 pm. All community groups, organizations, and businesses are encouraged to come make some noise and join in this proud community tradition. The parade route, lined with supportive neighbors and friends, travels approximately 1.5 miles along Monterey Road to Virginia Road and through Lacy Park.
The Independence Day Celebration will be from 7:00 am – 9:30 pm at Lacy Park. This is a ticketed event and wristbands are required for adults and youth over 2 years old. Pre-sale wristbands are $5 for residents (proof of residency is required) and $15 for non-residents. Wristbands purchased on the day of the event are $20 for residents and non-residents.

For the main event, Sierra Madre’s Independence Day Parade starts at 10:00 am on July 4. The parade route starts at Sunnyside Ave. and moves east on Sierra Madre Blvd., ending at Rancho Rd. Prior to the parade, a 5K Fun Run will be held at the YMCA at 7:00 am. The YMCA will also be open for free swim from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The Woman’s Club will host a pre-parade community open house with continental breakfast and live music by The Wabash Wailers at 8:00 am.

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Festival of Balloons and walk or ride along the route. The event starts at 11:00 am on Diamond Avenue by the Library Community Room and ends at Garfield Park. Following the parade, the City will host a party in the park at Garfield Park. Fireworks will follow starting at 9:00 pm at South Pasadena High School, with a pre-show concert from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
This year’s theme is “Hometown Heroes: Celebrating the Spirit of Community.” Groups are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their entry’s decorations and to include music. Families will have the opportunity to march with the Library. Participants may join the Library staff under the Moreton Bay Fig tree on the Diamond Avenue side of the Library Park at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 4 to participate. No registration is required for the parade. Strollers and wagons are encouraged. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join a bike-loving crowd for fun, food and fireworks.
Bring your favorite snacks and beverages (but no alcohol please). The party starts at 7 pm just above the Arroyo, at N. Arroyo and W. Washington. Bikes and pedestrians will be able to pass through traffic control.












Please, no noisy fireworks that scare pets and wildlife. Drones are the way to go!
