      A fun edition of “What to Do this Weekend” where the Muppets showcase their fun side on Friday, a Fiestas celebration and a cat show take place on Saturday plus a secret farmers market on Sunday!

      We also added some highlights of  what to do for the rest of the week. Have fun!

      – 8:00 am – 2:00 pm: Fiestas Patrias Celebration

      Free festival commemorating 18 Latin American countries’ independence from Spain. Soccer, fun, food, giveaways (@ Villa-Park Community Center).

      Climatologist and Author George Marshall discusses how to implement strategies at the local level – Need to RSVP (@ First Congregational Church, Pasadena).

      Tuesday

      Special Olympics.la2015– 11:00 am: Pasadena: 2015 Special Olympics Host Town

      Pasadena formally takes on the mantle of Host Town for special-needs athletes  (on the steps of Pasadena City Hall).

      – 6:00 pm: Yuval Ron book signing, singing and performing

      Author, educator and musician Yuval Ron will be signing copies of his book, and performing the Oud  (@ Alexandria II Bookstore).

      Wednesday

      Pasadena Farmers Market - City Hall.– 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Pasadena Farmers Market at City Hall

      A quaint farmers market (@ Centennial Square).

      – 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Drum Circle and Dance

      Join a combination drum circle/lesson/stress release/rhythm therapy/ensemble communication/whackfest/escape etc.  (@ Neighborhood Church).

      Thursday

      – 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm: The Byrd who Flew Alone

      A documentary on the life and work of Gene Clark (@ South Pasadena Public Library).

      Start the fall out right with a 6 mile, 1400′ gain aerobic conditioning hike up the Mt Wilson road to Henninger Flats (@ gate at Pinecrest).
